Just beyond our Adoption Center, the Pooch Pavilion will have five distinct areas/hallways dedicated to dog housing, including kennels and dog runs. Each hallway within the Pooch Pavilion will accommodate between 17 and 22 dogs, providing them with comfortable, secure, and well-organized spaces.

This beautiful pond, complete with a peaceful fountain and walking trail, offers a serene retreat for visitors, volunteers, and shelter pets alike.

Cat Cafe & Lounge

Our new Cat Cafe & Lounge will be the first and only of its kind in Horry County—an inviting space located at the front entrance of our new facility, designed to enrich the lives of both cats and visitors, both local and tourists.

This thoughtfully designed lounge will allow our cats time outside of their regular living spaces for exercise, stimulation, and social interaction. Guests can enjoy refreshments available for purchase while relaxing and giving our adoptable kitties the love and attention they deserve.

A unique signage opportunity is available inside the Cat Cafe to recognize this special gift. The donor will also be celebrated on our website and social media platforms, honoring their role in creating a space where connection and comfort come together—for both people and pets.

Paw Patrol Perimeter Fencing – A Critical Priority

This item is one of the most important on our checklist, as it plays a vital role in keeping all animals safe and secure in the rare and unlikely event that one gets loose. Whether it’s one of our own animals or a pet visiting our veterinary clinic, this fencing provides a necessary layer of protection.

By ensuring that our facility is fully enclosed and secure, we offer peace of mind to our staff, volunteers, visitors, and neighbors. Dog of the Week Suites will spotlight one adoptable dog each week—offering them a chance to shine in a space designed to look and feel like a real home.

This special room is dedicated to helping our more timid or undersocialized cats prepare for the loving homes they deserve. Here, our dedicated volunteers will provide the extra time, patience, and TLC these cats need to come out of their shells and build trust again.

These inviting rooms are designed to give groups of cats the opportunity to play, explore, and relax in a comfortable, home-like environment. With cozy furnishings and space to roam, these rooms help showcase each cat’s personality outside of a cage—making it easier for potential adopters to form meaningful connections.

Large picture windows will allow visitors to watch as the cats nap, play, and interact with one another, while adopters will also have the chance to step inside, spend time with them, and find their perfect match.

These specially designed kennels will be located just outside the main entrance to our main adoptable dog kennel area. This dedicated space will give them a quieter environment away from the hustle and bustle of the larger dogs, while also placing them adjacent to the Outdoor Small Dog/Puppy Play Yard—an ideal spot for potential adopters to spend quality time getting to know them.

Scattered throughout our beautiful property—including along walking trails, at the front entrance, and within our peaceful Serenity Garden—comfortable benches will offer visitors a place to rest, reflect, and connect.

Our new facility will be surrounded by stunning landscaping featuring dozens of majestic statement trees—Live Oaks, Southern Magnolias, Weeping Willows, River Birches, and Laurel Leaf Oaks—creating a welcoming and serene environment for visitors, staff, and animals alike.

For our “green-thumbed” supporters, we are pleased to offer the opportunity to sponsor one or more of these magnificent trees. Each sponsored tree will be honored with a personalized engraved plaque placed at its base, commemorating the name of a beloved person or pet.
